Mission and Vision Statement Panel Discussion

As a continuation of the Congregational Vitality Pathway process, Parkwood is hosting a series of more focused discussions regarding our current mission and vision statement.

On October 2, 2011, during Sunday morning worship service Pastor Peter served as moderator for a panel discussion of diverse members of the congregation who provided very personal and varied perspectives on the current mission and vision statement.  Each panel member introduced themselves and shared how they came to Parkwood and why they stayed.  They were then given the opportunity to respond to the following questions:

1. What do you think and feel about the current mission statement?

2. How do you reconcile the mission statement and its Asian American focus with your personal experience outside of the church?

3. What are your hopes and dreams for Parkwood in the future?

The discussion ended with a brief Q&A.

Many thanks to Vicki Tsui, Paul Mast Hewitt, Jenny Chang, Minh Dao and Mae Hong for serving as panel members and for demonstrating humility and authenticity.

Please note that on October 9, 2011, we will continue the discussion during Sunday morning worship service in small group break out sessions, led by various members of the Vitality Team.

If you would like to listen to the panel discussion in its entirety, please access the sermons page.
