ANNOUNCEMENTS AND MINISTRY MOMENTS:

SMORGASBORD: DECEMBER 17TH
The Johnson Family cordially invites all of you to enjoy our annual Smorgasbord Dinner following worship this Sunday, December 17th.

SUNDAY SMALL GROUP
The ‘Cool Adults Serving Christ’ Small Group will be meeting this Sunday after the Smorgasbord. All are welcome. Contact Glenn Der with questions at hknc2348@aol.com.

CHILDREN AND YOUTH WHITE ELEPHANT
This Sunday, all kids and youth are invited to participate in our white elephant gift exchange! Please bring a wrapped gift from home–something you no longer need or want but think someone else would enjoy. The exchange is open to those in Kindergarten through 12th grade with the youth holding their exchange separately. Gifts can be dropped off in the fellowship hall before entering the sanctuary.

SCHEDULES
New schedules will be made for Sunday school classes, Ministry Moments, Scripture Reader, Greeters, Counters, Communion Servers, Prayer Ministers and Confirmation Class. If you serve in any of these ministries please let the office know of your schedule for February 2018 to June 2018 by Wednesday, December 20th. If you would like to serve in any of these areas but currently are not on the regular rotation contact the office. We’d love to see you a part of these ministries.

ADVENT WREATH LIGHTING
Any family or individual interested in participating in the Advent Wreath lighting and reading during the Sundays in December, please let Pastor Ken know.

CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICE
In addition to the regular Sunday morning service, there will be Christmas Eve service on Sunday, December 24th at 5:00PM followed by dinner at Lom Ling’s in Lombard for anyone interested. Please RSVP to the office if you plan to attend the dinner to make reservations.

HELP FILL THE FOOD PANTRY
The food pantry is in need of much replenishing. It is in need of the following items: paper towels, kleenex, granola bars, cereal, jelly, soups, corn and frozen pizzas. Monetary donations are also welcomed. Donations can be placed in the offering bags. Be sure to include in the memo section of the check, ‘food pantry.’
